Transformation \ Workshop \ Homless Housing \

In an old FLSmidth industrial area in Valby, Copenhagen, we were given the task to transform an abandoned warehouse. I wanted to build a place that was different from what the city usually offers.
It was a house that would offer accommodation for the homeless, while it should function as an open workshop for the city's "ordinary" citizens.

This would instead be driven by the homeless who in return would get food and shelter and counseling for how to getting on with their lifes.

As a side effect, it would create new interaction between the citizens of Copenhagen and the homeless. At this location they would meet under other circumstances than those they usually meet under.
